Enhancing Workforce Safety: WorkersFirst Clinics at Signal Maritime Conference

This past week, WorkersFirst Clinics had the privilege of participating in Signal Mutual's 2024 Maritime Conference and Fall Safety Committee Meeting in Savannah, Georgia. The event brought together industry leaders dedicated to advancing workplace health and safety within the maritime and longshore sectors.

Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robert J. Krause, delivered an impactful presentation titled “The Value Proposition of Fit for Duty.” His discussion centered on the importance of tailored medical evaluations to ensure workers are physically and mentally prepared for their job roles. By identifying and mitigating potential health risks, Fit for Duty programs not only enhance workplace safety but also contribute to operational efficiency and employee well-being.

Dr. Krause was joined by Dr. Courtney Zydron, CEO of WorkersFirst Clinics, for a panel discussion on “Knowing Your Health Care Provider.” This session emphasized the critical role of partnerships between healthcare providers and employers in fostering a culture of safety and proactive health management.

Key Takeaways from the Presentation
